Top 5 jewellery desıgn ınspıratıons to fall ın love wıth at JGA
The latest collections of 1,200+ exhibitors are ready for their close-up at Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) happening next month!
Set to unfold from 19 to 22 June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), JGA will bring together major suppliers from 30+ countries and regions, spread out across 30+ theme and group pavilions, according to show organiser Informa Markets Jewellery. The fair will also offer three standout attractions to enhance the buyer experience: The groundbreaking Orient Odyssey 2.0 pearl exhibit (Stand 3M260) led by Platinum Sponsors Autore, Jewelmer, Paspaley Pearling Company and Rio Pearl; a dedicated Gold Jewellery Pavilion and the announcement of the Finalists for the Sustainability Awards 2025 by JWA (Jewellery World Awards).
“The variety of jewellery resources, product launches and networking opportunities at JGA reaffirms its status as Asia’s top mid-year B2B marketplace for trade buyers,” said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery. “To truly understand the energy, creativity and spirit of discovery that define JGA, attending the show is a must. It’s an event that you just have to see and experience for yourself.”
The fair encompasses virtually all core product categories, including loose diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearls; fine jewellery; jewellery mountings; antique and vintage finds; packaging; equipment & tools and industry-related technologies.
Moreover, the event programme features two thought-provoking panel discussions. On 19 June, “The Rise of the Eco-Friendly Luxury Consumer” examines how the call for sustainability shapes purchasing decisions in the jewellery market. Leading this conversation are industry insiders Lianne Ng (Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group), Henry Tse (Ancardi, Nyrelle & JRNE) and Pui In Catherine Siu (PICS Fine Jewellery). The following day (20 June), “For the Love of Pearls: A Millennial and Gen Z Affair,” looks at why pearls are becoming increasingly popular with younger buyers. This dynamic session brings together Ruby Autore (Autore Group), David Wong (Fukui Shell Nucleus Factory) and Julien-Loïc Garin (The Collection by JLG).
“From expert knowledge to innovative displays, this fair delivers endless inspiration,” Lau shared. “Every corner holds a new discovery waiting to be unveiled.”
Buyers bound for JGA may skip the long queues onsite by completing online pre-registration between now and 11 June.
With JGA opening in a month, Informa is jumpstarting the product discovery journey by unveiling a sampling of the collections heading to Hong Kong. Here are five jewellery design inspirations that buyers would not want to miss.
Blooms & Butterflies
Who can resist the allure of flowers and butterflies? These timeless favourites are given a contemporary update in the showcased collections. One standout piece is a ring in floral motif adorned with diamonds and deep pink sapphires by Shenzhen Jindingsheng Jewelry. The butterfly pieces are equally enchanting – brooches with wings pavé-set with rainbow sapphires in a gradient of colours by H & R Jewellery, as well as another featuring wings crafted from carved jade with a freshwater pearl body by Gold Treasure International Jewellery. In addition, there is Teng Huat Jewellery’s pair of long earrings made of mother-of-pearl shells, embellished with miniature butterflies in gold with diamonds.
Sweet Treats
These delightful collections blend whimsy with sophistication. EJI takes the crown with two confectionery-inspired pieces in 18-karat gold: An enamel rainbow sapphire “Strawberry Doughnut” and diamond bangle, and “Rainbow Macaron” and diamond ring. Legrand Jewellery likewise impresses with a flower pendant necklace featuring sapphire petals and diamonds, while Gold Field presents charming earrings showcasing pear-shaped sapphires.
Stylish Pearls
Modern, fresh and bold, pearls continue to pack a punch in a world saturated with passing trends. From the red carpet to the high street, the timeless allure of the “Queen of Gems” is omnipresent. Featured here are minimalist hoop earrings adorned with Japanese Akoya pearls by P&J, a one-of-a-kind ring crafted by Hiroko Saito with lustrous golden and grey keshi pearls and diamonds, and the epitome of elegance – a graduated Akoya and Tahitian pearl necklace from Asuka.
Enchanting Gems
Extraordinary centre stones define this curated selection. P.N. Gems presents a majestic ring featuring a 5-carat unheated “Pigeon blood” Burmese ruby surrounded by diamonds, while P.V. Gems showcases a striking ring with a 30.57-carat “royal blue” Sri Lankan sapphire with diamond accents. Rounding up the showcase is Komehyo’s head-turning necklace with a stunning 32.2-carat emerald pendant.
Heart to Heart
The heart motif, cherished in jewellery design as a symbol of love, appears in countless interpretations. Trending now are “puffy” hearts, exemplified by Shenyang Moonlight Jewelry Manufacturing’s charming heart spacer beads and Tri Gem Jewelry’s textured pendant with brushed and tufted details. Completing this sweet narrative is Jewellery Collection Manufacturer’s ring with precisely placed baguette and round diamonds forming a heart design.
