Take a voyage around the latest Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch

The Swiss watchmaker Omega has expanded its most famous Speedmaster Moonwatch line with updated designs and a new movement certified according to the Master Chronometer standard.

For the new chronometer, Omega drew on the style of the 4th generation Moonwatch ST 105.012. This is the most famous watch of the brand: it was worn by astronauts on the flight to the moon in 1969 – the pilots of the lunar module Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin. The Omega Speedmaster became the first watch being on the moon. These new models include 18K Sedna gold and 18K Canopus gold.

From the space heritage, the new chronometers feature an asymmetrical case, a tiered dial, and a case back with beveled edges. Like the 1969 model, the tachymetric dots on the anodized aluminum bezel located above 90 and diagonally downward from 70. Major update is the Master Chronometer Caliber 3861 co-axial movement.
