Louıs Vuıtton celebrates ıts next travellıng exhıbıtıon – SeeLV

The showcase, which arrives on Australian shores after a world tour spanning Wuhan, Hangzhou, Dubai and Tokyo, will explore the maison’s heritage from the early-2oth century in five curatorial chapters: ‘Finding Louis’, a portrait of the 20-year-old founding designer by Turkish artist Refik Anadol; ‘In Fashion’, displays looks from current and former creative directors Virgil Abloh, Nicolas Ghesquière, Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs; ‘Bags Stories’, a study of Louis Vuitton’s most iconic silhouettes; ‘Evolution Gallery’, which ponders the house’s automotive and decorative contributions, and lastly, ‘Around Monogram’. See LV Sydney concludes with the ‘Library’, a catalogue of the label’s literary exploits consisting of over a hundred titles.

Over 650 guests were in attendance at Louis Vuitton’s unveiling party, including a range of local and international talent. Musicians Troye Sivan, Ruel and Gretta Ray, Heartbreak High’s Ayesha Madon and actress Teresa Palmer were present for the evening, alongside models Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Jess Hart, Georgia Fowler and Montana Cox. A performance by Rüfüs Du Sol on a pavilion overlooking the water, as well as a bespoke Louis Vuitton drone show, kept the crowd entertained, before the night concluded with an afterparty inside the museum, DJed by Hugo Gruzman and Soju Gang.

See LV Sydney will be open to the public from November 4 to December 11 with free admission.
