House of Gucci, one of the most anticipated movies this year, focuses on the story of Patrizia Reggiani, former wife of Maurizio Gucci – the old director of Italian brand Gucci fashion house which leads the fashion world – who faced trial for plotting an assassination against Maurizio Gucci and stayed in jail for years. In this motion screen adaptation, performances of leading actors Lady Gaga and Adam Driver as well as other stars such as Jared Leto, Salma Hayek and Al Pacino are displayed. The drama adapted from Sara Gay Forde’s book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed is directed by Oscar-winning director Ridley Scott.

Janty Yates, the costume designer of the movie House of Gucci, supplied outfits during the shooting not only from rare Gucci archives but she also found some vintage and modern outfits from Max Mara and took advantage of Lady Gaga’s private wardrobe and modern jewelry shops. Not even one piece of 54 looks of the actress worn in the movie is repeated. Tailor-made costumes of Lady Gaga match glamorous counterparts of jewelry pieces which Patrizia Reggiani made a great display in high society circles and reflected in her photos. While there are many flamboyances you can see in this exciting movie, the most memorable ones are the jewels of Bvlgari.

The iconic necklace from Bvlgari’s Heritage Collection accompanies the most sensational look of Lady Gaga in the movie. Designed by the actress Rita Hayworth and Princess Yasmin Aga Kahan – the daughter of Prince Aly Kahn – in 1991, finished with emeralds, pink tourmalines and sapphires, illuminated with diamonds, cut exclusively in a triangle design, this amethyst and citrine stone necklace attracted attention as the major piece of BVLGARI: The Story, The Dream 2019 exhibition. This jewel which is included in the banners of the exhibition displayed in two museums in Rome also adorned the cover of the book with identical names. Famous Bvlgari necklace which celebrates its reborn in House of Gucci drama matches with golden and shiny dress of Lady Gaga which reflects the essential glamour of the ‘90s. Setting in a club atmosphere, the sparkling look in the scene was completed with amethyst, citrine, emerald and diamond Bulgari earrings made in 1989 and amethyst, diamond quartz and golden designed two Bulgari bracelets from the 1970s.
