Fragrant Concubıne – A new collectıon of Lydıa Courteılle

Famous jewellery designer Lydia Courteille presented a new “Fragrant Concubine” collection dedication to Chinese history and culture. The Silk Road, Jade Burial Suit, Mogao Caves, Chinese Guardian Lions, Golden Horde, Terracotta Army, The Taklaman Desert and the Fragrant Concubine were her inspirations of the new collection.

Lydia used rare stones, like diamonds, aquamarines, jade, ruby, tsavorites, sapphires, tourmalines, tanzanites for white and yellow gold design. Each piece of stunning jewelry reflects the rich Chinese history and culture.

The Fragrant Concubine is a figure in Chinese legend who was taken as a consort by the Qianlong Emperor of the Qing dynasty in the 18th century. Although the stories about her are believed to be mythical, they may have been based on an actual concubine from western China who entered the imperial harem in 1760 and received the title “Imperial Consort Rong”.
