Tıffany & Co. names new chıef brand creatıve offıcer

LVMH-owned New York jewellery house Tiffany & Co. has named Hector Muelas, chief brand creative officer.

Muelas shared the news on LinkedIn: “Everyone has a Tiffany story and I certainly have plenty of my own. Because for the past 185 years, Tiffany & Co. has helped an ever-changing world express the ever-changing language of love with characteristic wit and optimism.”

He added: “I’m humbled to be a part of this iconic house, and to continue building its legacy alongside some great old and new friends.”

Muelas joins the company from Expedia Group, where he was senior vice president of global marketing and creative. He has also held creative roles at companies such as at Rimowa, Apple, Creative Artists Agency, Donna Karan International and Vice Media, among others.

This is the brand’s latest executive appointment. Earlier this year, Tiffany & Co. tapped Lauren Santo Domingo, co-founder and chief brand officer of Moda Operandi, as the jewellery house’s first artistic director for home.

Coinciding with the nomination, Tiffany & Co. unveiled a limited-edition Rimowa x Tiffany capsule collection, merging two iconic brands, combining daring, diamond-inspired design.

Available exclusively at The Landmark in New York City starting September 26, this collection pays homage to Tiffany’s legendary designs and features a Tiffany Blue jewelry case, a vanity case and a cabin luggage.
