The 2 new jewelry collections wıll present by Karl lagerfeld
Karl Lagerfeld brand that will focus on two jewelry collections: one will be branded as Karl Lagerfeld and the other as Karl Lagerfeld Paris. Both will be distributed in North America and key Asian markets and “will allow us to further expand and develop Karl Lagerfeld’s accessory footprint into new geographies,” said Pier Paolo Righi, CEO of Karl Lagerfeld, in a statement.
In the official announcement, Fran Lukas, CEO of the Jewelry Group, described the deal as an “exciting endeavor,” given that the late designer was “one of the most celebrated and iconic names in fashion.” The Karl Lagerfeld jewelry lines join brands such as Marchesa, Givenchy, and Anne Klein in the Jewelry Group’s stable of fashion jewelry labels.
Slated to launch in March, the Karl Lagerfeld line reimagines the brand’s style codes (chunky chain links, oversize logos, sharp angles, a hint of rock and roll) in striking crystal pavé, hematite, and a mix of glass and premium base metals.
Karl Lagerfeld Paris is more playful and irreverent—and, yes, Choupette makes an appearance. The collection highlights logos and lighthearted motifs (hearts, for example, and the likeness of Kaiser Karl himself) in high-shine metals plated in hematite and rhodium. Colorful enamel and rainbow crystal pavé add even more levity to the très chic debut.
Set to prelaunch online at Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Amazon, and Zappos, the collection lands in select retail stores in February.
