Phılıpp Pleın launches jewellery lıne
Philipp Plein continues to proceed full steam ahead. The label by the eclectic German designer is constantly deploying new projects, extending its reach to a variety of sectors. After apparel, fragrances, watches and glasses, Philipp Plein has now launched its first jewellery line.
The first jewellery collection, produced under licence by Philipp Plein International AG in collaboration with Timex Group, will be distributed in Italy by Timeway Italy. Distribution in Italy will be selective, in Plein’s single-brand stores as well as in prestigious watch and jewellery chains. The same strategy will be deployed in the rest of the world.
“Philipp Plein’s jewellery is an interesting complement to the brand’s product range, following in the wake of the successful launch of its watches. The collections have a strong personality, both bold and unconventional, clearly expressing the label’s uncompromising DNA,” said Andrea Busato, managing director of Timeway Italy.
The line utilises steel with a variety of finishes and other materials like leather and crystals. Its men’s, women’s and unisex products include necklaces, rings, bracelets and cufflinks, all characterised by the symbols inspiring the label’s style. In the $kull 3D collection, Philipp Plein’s signature skull is featured in a powerful 3D sculpted version. The Lettering line puts another Philipp Plein essential centre-stage: the PLEIN logo is featured in a necklace and bracelet set fashioned after the label’s style, with oversize crystals. The Hexagon collection highlights another key Philipp Plein identifier, the hexagon, which becomes a transversal decorative element in a series of steel and leather creations.
