Omega has announced Brıtısh actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson as ıts latest brand ambassador
The Nosferatu, 28 Years Later and The King’s Man star is the latest actor to join storied watchmaker Omega as celebrity face, joining the likes of Irish actor Barry Keoghan (a ‘friend’ of the brand since 2024), Jurassic Park actor Jonathan Bailey, The Day of the Jackal star Eddie Redmayne, and supermodel Kaia Gerber. Not to forget the OG, George Clooney, of course, who has been an Omega ambassador since 2007.
“Aaron is such a versatile actor, with a range that covers action, thriller, romance and much more. At OMEGA, we’ve always been impressed by that all-around quality, and his pioneering approach to so many roles,” said Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of OMEGA. “His passion for watches is also clear, so we’re delighted to welcome him as a new ambassador and share the excitement of our latest creations.”
For his part, Taylor-Johnson was also clearly delighted to be on board with the brand. “I place significant value on relationships that are genuine and built on mutual passion and respect. With that, it’s a tremendous honor to be selected as a Brand Ambassador,” the actor said. “My interest in watches first began with my dad who introduced me to Omega, if you can believe it. He was working class and saved his earnings to purchase an Omega watch”.
Notably, fellow British actor and former Bond stars Daniel Craig and Naomie Harris are also amongst Omega’s roster of British ambassadors. So the Swiss watchmaker’s latest celebrity signing may spark a little frisson of excitement amongst movie fans, who have yet to learn who the next 007 is going to be. According to the endless rumour mills, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been the frontrunner for many years, ahead of other candidates as varied as Idris Elba, James Norton, Theo James, Callum Turner and Harris Dickinson. It’s been four years since Daniel Craig seemingly bowed out in explosive style in No Time To Die.
