The star of both the screen and the music scene wore diamonds from Harry Winston’s Cluster Collection whilst walking the carpet.

She wore the 12.9 carat Winston Cluster Diamond Cascading Earrings set in platinum which feature 18 round brilliant, 12 pear-shaped and 10 marquise diamonds. On her arms she wore the Winston Cluster Diamond Bracelet, approx. 30.2 carats, set in platinum paired with the Winston Cluster Diamond Ring, approx. 4.2 carats, set in platinum.

The Harry Winston Cluster setting is fiendishly difficult to execute, requiring the grouping together of various cut and shapes of diamonds, including pear, marquise and round brilliants. Set in what appears to be an irregular pattern, each of these stones has in fact been positioned with mathematical precision to reflect light from every direction, resulting in a dazzling sparkle (ensuring the design remains a red carpet favourite to this day). And that’s exactly why Jenny from the Block was wearing Harry Winston.

The pioneering American jeweller had a simple-yet-stunningly-effective technique for ensuring his jewels were as spectacular as possible: the diamonds should dictate the design, not the other way around. One Winter’s evening in 1940 Winston was standing in front of a holly wreath on the door of his Scarsdale home when he was struck by the way icy crystals of snow and frost had formed on its leaves.
