FERNANDO JORGE: PURE ENERGY IN EMOTION

Celebrities such as Michelle Obama, Viola Davis, Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, Emily Blunt and Naomi Watts adore his magnificent designs. Full of emotion, energy and movement, his creations are inspired by the beauty of nature. Annabelle Davidson of The Telegraph, describes his visual identity as “sensual, bold, colorful, and very contemporary.”

Brazilian high jewelry brand Fernando Jorge reflects the rich culture of this exotic country in every single detail of its elegant, contemporary, and unique sculptural creations. Fernando Jorge, the founder and creative director of the brand, pursued his studies in São Paulo and worked as a designer for several jewelry companies in Brazil. Eager to make a difference in the world with his well rounded ideas, he moved to London to attend postgraduate studies at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and founded his namesake brand in 2010.

Fernando quickly gained an international reputation and is considered one of the brightest young talents in the jewelry and fashion industry. His collections are featured in the most prestigious galleries in London, Paris, Beirut, New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas.

Brazil’s traditional outlook, colorful nature, rich culture and gemstones provide a vibrant backdrop for Fernando’s designs. The designer loves his homeland and skillfully reflects this affection in each of his jewelry collections.

To celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary in London in 2020, Fernando Jorge presented the “Flame” collection, an allegory of energy. Over two years in the making, the “Flame” collection includes 30 unique pieces of jewelry. From humble earrings to opulent necklaces, these magnificent pieces, set with a total of 28 carats of diamonds, are a testament to modern craftsmanship.

Fernando Jorge pays homage to his homeland by dedicating a significant portion of his collection to Brazilian gemstones. In addition to diamonds, Flame jewelry is set with luxurious emeralds, Paraiba tourmalines, rubellite, imperial topaz, and other gems that are a sight for sore eyes. White, yellow, and rose gold “embrace” the waves, and according to Jorge, the collection reflects the curves of a woman’s face and body.

“Flame design allowed me to reconnect with curves and sensuality, elements that have always been at the forefront of my work,” says the designer. “Looking back and looking forward, I drew inspiration from the colors and materials of my childhood. Paying tribute to our past and continuing to develop the unique craftsmanship embodied in our latest collections, Flame encapsulates the entire scope of my work.”

In 2023, Sotheby’s invited Fernando Jorge to showcase his work in a jewelry exhibition during Contemporary Art Week. For the occasion, the Brazilian designer created an artistic capsule collection of 16 pieces, experimenting with new elements by combining natural diamonds with pebbles, marble chips, and carved solid stones. The collection was first shown in New York and will be on display at Sotheby’s galleries in London, Dubai, and Zurich starting in 2024.
