Take a journey into the minds of two of the fashion world’s most celebrated designers in the first ever exhibition of the brand’s most revered pieces, tracing the translation of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s ideas from the heart through to their realization, by hand.

Running from 7 April to 4 August at the Palazzo Reale, Milan, From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana is promoted by the Municipality of Milan – Culture and produced by Palazzo Reale in partnership with IMG.

An immersive exploration into the narrative behind Dolce&Gabbana’s couture collections, the exhibition invites you to participate in the artistic process of bringing their creations to life, from the dream to dress.

Discover the sources that spark the designers’ inspiration and learn about the intricate craftsmanship that goes into the final pieces, embodying the values of Fatto a Mano – or hand-made. Featuring one-off items from their Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria and Alta Gioielleria collections, each room of the exhibition will display Dolce&Gabbana’s bespoke creations against a backdrop of spectacular installations that plunge you into the heart of their world.

The expansive sources of Dolce&Gabbana’s inspiration unfold before you as you move from room to room, each space an homage to a facet of Italian culture that has informed their work.

Spanning art to architecture, the topography of cities to music, ballet to opera, each theme is simultaneously rooted in the two founders’ abiding love of traditional craftsmanship, their Italian heritage, and passion for la dolce vita.
