De Beers celebrates 20 years of Talısman collectıon

De Beers is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its rough diamond Talisman collection with the launch of new pieces.

To celebrate the occasion, De Beers is launching new Talisman designs. The collection was originally launched in 2005 and is considered the first luxury jewellery collection to combine rough and polished diamonds.

In commemoration of 20 years, a limited-edition locket has been released, combining rough brown and yellow diamonds with polished white diamonds as well as a polished gold disc inside which can be personally engraved on request.

Unpolished diamonds, noted throughout history as talismans of protection and strength, define the collection and honour De Beer’s connection to South Africa.

As the only luxury jewellery house with direct access to rough diamonds, De Beers pairs the unique jewels with polished diamonds to explore the journey of transformation from untouched gems to timeless jewellery.

The collection is handcrafted with a Serti Poinçon finish, a traditional technique which involves hand-hammering the surface of the metal using a pyramid-shaped chisel.

The very first design from the collection, the Talisman Medallion, represents the ancient symbolism of diamonds as a source for strength, protection and good fortune.

Its success has enabled the collection to expand and grow. This year, a new chapter is being added to the collection with a suite of High Jewellery including a necklace, bracelet, ring and chandelier earrings.
