Cartıer opens Islamıc art exhıbıtıon

The exhibition “Cartier and Islamic Art: In search of modernity”, revealing the influence of Islamic art on jewelry houses, is taking place at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and will be open until February 20, 2022.

How has Islamic art influenced the creation of jewelry and precious objects at the Cartier House?  This is evidenced by a new exhibition jointly created by the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Dallas Museum of Art, and in collaboration with the Louvre Museum.

A true ode to the influence of these arts on the heritage of the house, the exhibition highlights the creative vision of Louis and Jacques Cartier, grandchildren of founder Louis-François Cartier.

In total, the exhibition features more than 500 exhibits from the beginning of the 20th century to the present, among drawings, books, photographs, jewelry, objects and archival documents.
