Buccellatı honours Lunar New Year wıth new creatıons
With the Lunar New Year kicking off on 29 January, Buccellati is honouring the year of the Snake with a series of creations to that align with the traditions of this holiday. Celebrated by millions of people around the world, Lunar New Year is a time marked by cultural traditions and good tidings.
The first of these objects offers a new interpretation of the Snake, adding to the other Chinese zodiac animals found in the Bubu collection.
In this piece, the Snake is rising to enchant, revealing itself as a symbol of wisdom and intuition, while also offering opportunities for personal growth and change. In Chinese tradition, people born in the year of the Snake are encouraged to wear something red throughout 2025. And since red is the quintessential colour of the Lunar New Year, Buccellati proposes a set comprising a pendant, a bracelet, and earrings from the Opera Tulle line.
The red enamel background shines a spotlight on the craftsmanship and charm of the shapes in this iconic line.
Continuing with its celebration of the Asian world, Buccellati offers up its own Asian set for those who would rather not forgo the elegant touch that Ginori ceramics bring to every table.
Coming on the back of the Rouche collection, this set was unveiled a few years ago and is made up of a rice bowl, a soy sauce dish, a chopstick rest, and a spoon. To complete the table service, Buccellati has created a set of silver chopsticks with a Borgia decoration, accompanied by bespoke chopstick holders.
To welcome the Year of the Snake, Buccellati wanted to blend tradition and innovation, enriching the Maison’s iconic collections with shapes, materials, and colors that carry huge appeal.
Once again, the Maison’s challenge is to put forward new proposals while keeping those stylistic features that have made every Buccellati object instantly recognisable and imbued them with timeless beauty for over a hundred years.
