Alison Chemla Chetrit, founder and designer of New York-based brand Alison Lou, has released a new 1970s-inspired Groovy collection. “The 70s were a time of glorification of individuality and doubt in traditional authorities, says Chetrit. I have always enjoyed creating jewelry in bright colors using enamel and unusual unique designs. Groovy is the perfect collection for me to introduce new techniques and materials such as pearls, opals and tie-dye hand-painted enamels.”

The collection contains quite a few obvious references to familiar motifs from the 60s and 70s: a symbol of peace, flowers, mushrooms from Alice in Wonderland.
