“200 TRUNKS, 200 VISIONARIES: THE EXHIBITION” ıs one of the ınıtıatıves celebratıng the 200th annıversary of Louis Vuıtton’s bırth

For the second stop on its global journey, Louis Vuitton’s exhibition showcasing the imaginative trunks created by 200 visionaries touches down in Singapore.
“200 TRUNKS, 200 VISIONARIES: THE EXHIBITION” has travelled to Singapore for the second stop on its international tour. The LOUIS 200 project invited a mosaic of talents and friends spanning arts and culture, the sciences, sports, global causes and more to each personalize a metaphorical blank canvas measuring approximately the same dimensions of the original trunk that Louis conceived in the 1850s. This invitation yielded 200 extraordinary transformations: vessels transmitting dreams and desires, abstract concepts and artistic expressions. Among the familiar names: Supreme, Peter Marino, Lego, Liu Wei, BTS, Cao Fei and Fornasetti.

Even better is the fact that the project remains at its core a philanthropic undertaking that has already raised €2million, thanks to the visionaries directing their entire fee to 15 charitable organisations across 13 countries that are focused on uplifting young people from disadvantaged communities through creativity and the arts. At the end of the global tour, in December 2022, the trunks will be put up for auction by Sotheby’s with all proceeds benefiting a scholarship program that aims to bridge inequality gaps.

“This project has always been about creativity—a real tribute to Louis’s ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit. We get to see how such a cross-section of talents answered the same brief while also taking a moment to appreciate the man himself,” says Louis Vuitton’s Visual Image Director, Faye McLeod. With 200 metaphorical and literal trunks to be enjoyed within an immersive environment, we recommend you take more than a moment. In fact, clear the weekend for the trunks have arrived.
