All the Jewelry Hıghlıghts of the 2026 Met Gala
The first Monday in May never disappoints when it comes to megawatt bijoux. Last year, the “Superfine Tailoring, Black Style” theme brought out tons of art deco brooches and megawatt necklaces that punctuated ritzy suits and tailored necklines. This year, spectacular jewels are match made in heaven with the contoured silhouettes hitting the carpet for the “Fashion Is Art” theme.
“Costume Art” is this year’s blockbuster Spring exhibition at The Met, and will inaugurate a new suite of galleries at the museum. The exhibition explores depictions of bodies in dress, pairing garments from fashion history with artworks that elucidate the inseparable relationship between our bodies and how we have, since time immemorial, chosen to dress it.
Of course, being human comes with occupational hazards, including the limited real estate to cram bracelets on a wrist. Leave it to Lisa to leverage this year’s Met Gala dress code to solve that problem. The star wore a Robert Wun dress with mannequin-like arms that she adorned in diamond-encrusted Bulgari Serpenti bracelets, a triple coiled watch, and a cocktail ring. To her own corporeal form, she added a Bulgari High Jewelry necklace featuring an oval cabochon sapphire that’s more than 50 carats, plus matching earrings.
Other celebrities went for sculptural statement pieces. Beyoncé was a vision in loads of diamond confections by Chopard that frosted her sheer gown by Olivier Rousteing. Suki Waterhouse transformed herself into a real-life goddess, with the help of a Boucheron High Jewelry tiara featuring diamond-dusted leaves and a coordinating high-jewelry bracelet. Gabrielle Union adorned her statuesque gown with a Tiffany & Co. Schlumberger collar necklace featuring beams of gold bejeweled with drops of diamonds. Read on for the standout jewelry gracing the Met steps at the Costume Institute’s most glamorous evening of the year.
