Valérıe Messıka receıved the ınsıgnıa of the Legıon of Honour at the Cartıer Foundatıon

President of the Cartier Foundation, and an emblematic figure in the world of French luxury, Alain Dominique Perrin awarded the honorary title to Valérie Messika in recognition of her commitment, creativity, and entrepreneurial strength.

Valérie Messika built the jewellery house with passion and family values at its core, contributing significantly to the international influence of France.

Commenting on the honour, Valérie Messika said: “This distinction honours me twofold.

“It is an honour for me that my country grants me this honorary title.

“I am immensely grateful to France, where I grew up, which is a great inspiration in my work every day.

“A great and wonderful emotion which is amplified by the presence of Alain Dominique Perrin, an undisputed visionary of the luxury world.

“I am highly honoured to receive the insignia from him in person.”

A passionate creator, since the launch of the House, Valérie Messika has been able to free herself from the codes of traditional jewellery design to create a new, unique, and lighter tone.

With some new collections targeted at lower price points featuring elegant and dainty design details, Messika’s modern creations continue to appeal to all generations.

In just two decades, Messika has become a key player in the jewellery industry, and this recognition through the presentation of an honorary title demonstrates that the House is a resounding success.

The honour affords a unique moment for Valérie Messika to celebrate a turning point for the House, as Messika prepares to unveil its 10th high jewellery collection during Paris Fashion Week next month.

Valérie Messika adds: “When founding the House, I wanted to talk about diamonds in a different way by offering less formal pieces, away from the stereotypes.

“I wanted to bring a new, more feminine look, to sublimate all women and better understand their expectations.”
