mountaın provınce to sell 152 carat yellow dıamond

A yellow rough diamond weighing 151.60 carats will be the star item at Mountain Province’s sale in Antwerp later this month.

The octahedron with “exceptional clarity” will be among more than 90 special stones available from the company’s Gahcho Kué mine in Canada, the company said Wednesday. The tender is Mountain Province’s largest offering of gem-quality rough diamonds exceeding 10.8 carats to date, it noted.

“This important diamond represents a clear example of the Gahcho Kué mine’s ability to consistently recover high-quality gems of exceptionally large size,” explained Reid Mackie, the company’s vice president for diamond marketing. “These gems are highly coveted by collectors around the globe, not only for their beauty but, increasingly, for their Canadian origin.”
