Mikimoto dedicated a high jewellery collection to Japanese beauty. In honor of the important launch, the creative team of the brand made a film about the collection, the main character of which was the supermodel, Ai Tominaga. As conceived by the designers, each product from the series The Japanese Sense of Beauty should be an interpretation of the codes of Japan – expressive landscapes, traditional ornaments, even special plants that can only be found in the East. On October 9, 2021, the collection will officially be exhibited in Japan, but you can admire the exquisite combinations of perfect pearls and rare gemstones.

The series includes brooches, necklaces, and earrings inspired by ukiyo-e – a special trend in the visual arts – as well as the legendary seigaiha pattern. The collection also contains references to the bokashi ink technique and other legendary symbols of Japanese art.
