LVMH has named Laura Burdese as the next CEO of Bulgarı
Burdese joined the group almost a decade ago, starting as the CEO of Acqua di Parma, LVMH said Thursday. In 2022, she held the position of chief marketing officer at Bulgari, and in 2024 she became deputy CEO, having led the brand’s transformation over the prior years.
In her new role, Burdese will strive to strengthen Bulgari’s desirability and long-term growth. She will report to Stéphane Bianchi, LVMH group managing director and CEO of LVMH watches and jewelry.
Burdese will succeed Jean-Christophe Babin, who has been with the company for more than 25 years, first at TAG Heuer and later at Bulgari. He will continue to serve as chairman for the Bulgari board, as CEO of the Bulgari hotel business unit, and as president of the Bulgari Foundation. He will also report to Bianchi.
“For the past three years, [Burdese] and [Babin] have worked side by side to sustain and orchestrate the brand elevation of the iconic Roman jewelry maison,” said Bianchi. “The nomination of [Burdese], while opening a new chapter for Bulgari, is a tribute to her strong contribution and accomplishments.”
