The mesmerizing brown diamond ring is the result of a collaboration between Dutch jewelry maker Leen Heyne and Cate Claus of Thesis.

The absolutely amazing center stone is a 5.12-carat peach brown diamond that has been re-cut. The gem was originally a vintage cut. Re-cut by Randy Poli of Poly Trading Co., it is the gorgeous rounded, step-cut specimen you see today. The ring is crafted in silky pink gold, which is perfectly matched with a brown diamond.

Heyne unleashes the natural forces inherent in the precious materials he uses. In his hands, gold and platinum are folded, pressed, and twisted to create tension that evokes the innate rhythm of the metal. The diamonds in the jewelry are surrounded by curved lines and are part of the action.
