a new serıes of “floral” watches from Chopard

The brand conveyed the fragility and grace of the peony using the hot enamel technique.

The peony, with its lush, fragile petals, has been the inspiration for Chopard since 2014. Then the brand released a limited edition of the L.U.C XP Esprit de Fleurier Peony Haute Horlogerie. This year the series has been expanded with a new model of “ethical” 18-carat rose gold, produced in only 8 pieces. They took a pocket watch from the brand’s archives as a basis and, using a complex technique of hot enamel, adorned the dial of the new model with blooming peonies.

Hot enamel is one of the most famous traditional crafts in the Swiss watch industry, dating back to the 17th century. Today, only the Chopard and a few handicraftsmen continue to practice it.

The beauty of this watch isn’t only in the bright design and unusual alligator leather strap, but also in the mechanism. The automatic winding L.U.C 96.23-L can be seen through the transparent case back. It is adorned with Fleria engraving, which flaunts right on the golden bridges of the clock. Also, the watch is adorned with 29 shining diamonds.
