Global supplıers to unveıl latest collectıons at Jewellery, Gem & Technology Dubai

Adding to the excitement surrounding the launch of Jewellery, Gem & Technology Dubai (JGT Dubai), fair organisers today gave a preview of the product-packed showcases that will be unveiled at the industry’s first physical B2B fair of the year scheduled for 22 to 24 February at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

A must-attend sourcing event for buyers who want to see first-hand what is available now and what’s coming next, JGT Dubai features six national pavilions dedicated to specific product categories. The Belgium and Israel Pavilions serve as destinations for loose diamonds. The Colombia Pavilion, hosted by ACODES, is presenting a glittering showcase of vibrant emeralds sourced from the South American country’s prized mines. The India, Turkey and Russia Pavilions are likewise highlighting their respective markets’ strengths in jewellery design and manufacturing.

In addition to the national pavilions, the fair is featuring select suppliers from Hong Kong, Italy, the UAE and other key sourcing locations.

Jointly organised by Informa Markets Jewellery and Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the show is bringing the industry back together for three days of product discovery and order-writing, says Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets Jewellery.

“JGT Dubai has received wide industry support, underscoring a real need for the trade to return to live face-to-face events. We are excited to welcome people back to the exhibition floor,” says Lau. “Fair attendees can rest assured that we will deliver a show experience that is as safe as it is rewarding. It is also only fitting that we are joining forces with IEG in organising an in-person sourcing experience in Dubai, a cosmopolitan city celebrated for its pearling culture, jewellery-making traditions and gold trading hub status.”

Marco Carniello, Global Exhibition Director – Jewellery & Fashion of IEG, says JGT Dubai is setting the stage for a busy and incredible year of rebuilding for the industry:

“The first edition of JGT Dubai is highly anticipated by a sector that is looking forward to a solid re-start. It will be the first event in the 2022 jewellery exhibition calendar and it bears the responsibility of becoming the preferred sourcing platform for many international markets. With our partner, Informa Markets Jewellery, and the support of DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre) and the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG), we are confident that this new show has all the key assets to grow in the coming years.”

JGT Dubai is powered by DMCC and DGJG – the fair’s official and industry partners, respectively – and the sector’s most influential business associations representing virtually every facet of the jewellery world. The fair likewise attracted strong interest from buyers, with retailers, wholesalers and brands from key buying groups from the Middle East, Eastern Europe and South America joining JGT Dubai’s Hosted Buyer Programme.

JGT Dubai is highlighting four product categories, namely finished jewellery, loose diamonds and coloured gemstones, jewellery parts and components, and technology solutions and equipment.

At the finished jewellery section, some of the industry’s top creative minds are anticipated to make waves with contemporary designs rendered in gold or silver, and collections that show off the pristine beauty of diamonds and coloured gemstones to perfection.

One of these standouts is Graziella of Italy, creators of gold jewellery since 1958. Taking gold jewellery-making to a new level, the company has shown its capacity to transcend time, surpassing trends and sustaining its status as a contemporary brand. Its silver jewellery pieces, accented with natural stones, are stamped with unmistakable Italian artistry. The Brass Collection, the latest addition to Graziella’s offerings, is the most glamorous of all its lines.

Buyers looking for collections set with fine stones will find exhibits adorned with diamonds in a range of hues, including rare fancy colour diamonds. House of Gems Ltd, a diamond house that focuses on investment-grade diamonds, is giving buyers an exclusive preview of its fine jewellery pieces set with premium-quality and perfectly cut stones, including fancy colour goods.

Specialising in collections that are on-trend and timeless at the same time, Hit Diamond (Sze’s) Holdings Ltd of Hong Kong is displaying modern classic pieces that wholesalers and retailers cannot do without. Easy to wear and yet impactful, Hit’s in-stock goods include rings set with round and fancy-cut diamonds and coloured gemstones.

A showcase of stunning diamonds from the world’s top diamantaires also awaits visitors at the Belgium Pavilion and the Israel Pavilion led by the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI).

One of the world’s largest diamond manufacturers, Rosy Blue of Antwerp is set to impress buyers with its unparalleled selection of gems of the highest degree of fire and sparkle.

Direct Diamond Solutions Ltd of Israel is likewise presenting offerings ranging from loose diamonds of 1 carat to 15 carats in all shapes, quality and colours, alongside fancy colour diamonds and pairs. Each stone comes with a GIA, HRD Antwerp and IGI grading reports.

Another prominent name in the diamond world that is unveiling its collections in Dubai is Moshe Namdar, an Israel-based manufacturer that supplies round and fancy-cut diamonds from 0.30 carat right up to 20-30 carats. It also operates a coloured gemstone company, Moshe Namdar Gems, which mainly deals in top-quality rubies, sapphires and emeralds, from small parcels to very large stones.

The highly prized emerald, which has long symbolised hope and new beginnings, is among ML Pitliya Jewellers’ top exhibits. Based in Jaipur, India, the gemstone supplier has an emerald inventory consisting of single stones, beads, layouts and calibrated gems.

Jewellery components and parts are among JGT Dubai’s major draws. Better Silver Spa of Italy is launching its latest lines of chains and an expanded product portfolio, which includes cast components, CNC-machined accessories and finished jewellery.
Recognised as an innovator in gold chain manufacturing, Filk Spa is highlighting its competitively priced solid and hollow gold chains at the fair. The company prides itself for accelerating access to the latest developments and trends in chain production.

Also not to be missed are exhibits on the latest technologies and applications, including precious alloys, gold casting machines, and retail and marketing solutions.

Among these innovations are Doma Automation Srl’s jewellery product photography software and equipment. Its ALO Photo Scan and ALO Photo Sphere software are specifically designed for entry-level users with no photography experience. “Thanks to our partnership with CANON, we guarantee to provide the best quality videos and images with the latest camera models,” says the company.

Also offering photography solutions is Shirtal DiaCam Ltd. The company’s DiaCam360 is a fully automated 360° imaging and marketing system for polished and rough white and fancy colour diamonds, and coloured gemstones.

Meanwhile, the JGT Dubai sourcing experience is further enhanced by two high-profile events that will be staged on 21 February, namely the Dubai Diamond Conference organised by DMCC, Informa Markets Jewellery’s Jewellery World Awards and JWA Dubai awards presentation ceremony. The fair also coincides with the world’s “greatest show,” Expo 2020 Dubai, which opened last October and will run through 31 March 2022.
