DESIGNER’S FACE MASKS WILL BE PUT ON SALE IN CHRISTIE’S AUCTION

In April designer Ronald Van der Kemp surprised the world with a wonderful gesture of hope. Five minutes to midnight, 29 models appeared on the balconies of De L’Europe Amsterdam Hotel in haute couture outfits with designer masks, waving white flags as a symbolic call for resilience and change. It was a truly memorable moment: 29 masks, 29 unique sayings that will go down in history.

Each face mask is crafted by Ronald Van der Kemp’s haute couture atelier and is offered along with an original design from the designer. The proceeds will go to Refugee Company, which recently opened the first refugee-run face mask factory in Netherlands.

The fashion designer donated all 29 unique face masks to be auctioned with no reserve price, and the proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Refugee Company.
