With awards season in full swing, there is much excitement about the upcoming festivities in Cannes as the prestigious film festival will be celebrating its 75th anniversary as well as its 25-year partnership with Chopard.

Adding to the excitement, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, Caroline Scheufele recently announced the theme for this year’s latest additions to the beloved Red Carpet Collection: ‘Chopard Loves Cinema’. Drawing inspiration from cinema itself as well as films—new and old—that have made a lasting impact, we cannot wait to see these new creations from the famous red carpet jeweller on the world’s biggest stars come May 17. 

As a teaser, Chopard unveils a delicate floral brooch in a tribute to Charlie Chaplin’s 1931 heartwarming romantic comedy City Lights. Adorned with black and white diamonds with beautiful petals that dance gracefully, the brooch is a labour of love that recreates rose that Chaplin’s character wears on his lapel as he meets the Blind Flower Girl. 

To mark this milestone in both the Cannes Film Festival and Chopard’s history, there will also be a special edition of the iconic Palme d’Or trophy, the most prestigious award reserved for the best film.
