The Ordinary General Assembly of the Jewelry Exporters’ Association for 2021 was held at the TİM Foreign Trade Council.

The general assembly, in which Chairman of the Board of the JTR Mustafa Kamar was nominated as well as Burak Yakin, was completed with the elections held at the end of a contentious process that lasted about 90 days. Mustafa Kamar, who received 327 votes in the elections, handed over the chairman to Burak Yakin, who received 418 votes.

Thanking everyone for the struggle in the election process, the new JTR Chairman Burak Yakin stated that he is a candidate for the unity and solidarity of the sector and that they aim to carry the sector to the future with all projects:

“We will establish an export support office in Kuyumcukent and will deal with all kinds of questions and problems of our companies that have just started or want to export with the ALO export line. We aim to establish the Turkish Jewelry Assembly. Our sector stakeholders from all over Turkey will have a say in our assembly, the sector will be managed by the sector and will solve the problems together in a short time.”

After the approval of the district election board, the board of directors will start its work by holding its first meeting within 2 weeks.
