The story of one jewelry: the diamond tiara of Queen Rania of Jordan

Queen Rania, the wife of the reigning king Abdullah II, became famous far beyond the borders of her country as one of the most stylish first ladies. In addition to her impeccable sense of style, Rania conquered her subjects with kindness and compassion. Lately, the Queen hasn’t often put on luxury jewels in public. This is due to the unstable situation in neighboring states.

This jewelry originally belonged to Queen Alia, the third wife of the Jordanian King Hussein. The tiara was commissioned by the Cartier jewelry house.

Three representatives of the Jordan royal family appeared in this diamond tiara: Queen Alia, her daughter Princess Haya and the modern Queen Rania that wore jewelry for the coronation of her husband, King Abdullah II, in 1999.
