THE NEW CLASH DE CARTIER COLLECTION REINVENTS THE CLASSICS

The brands have played around the usual shapes and symbols in a new way.

In the new collection of Clash de Cartier, jewelers used recognizable shapes – thorns, beads and nails. Together they are assembled into a single relief canvas, which in the hands of the masters turns into jewelry.

Jewels from the new collection is very controversial. The gold-plated thorns make you feel like touching, the geometric patterns don’t look rough or sloppy, and the large jewelry is bulky.

The brand’s jewelers drew inspiration from the Cartier tradition. Playing with volumes and relief, using circles and squares – these are the techniques that the brand used back in the 30s of the last century. But there’s a lot of skill behind the clean and simple lines. For example, in order to secure each spike in place, while maintaining its mobility, jewelers had to come up with a separate mechanism.

Jewels can be worn by men and women. The rings fit together so they can be combined. The charm of this collection lies in the lack of frames and the ability to convey your individuality through jewelry.
