Carolına Buccı: Jewels for every day and everyone

Carolina Bucci grew up in a hereditary family of jewelers: her great-grandfather founded his own workshop back in 1885 and was one of the respected traders of the famous Ponte Vecchio in Florence. From childhood, Carolina cultivated a taste for jewelry, playing with precious stones that relatives gave her. She decided to completely renovate the family business while preserving the heritage of Italian jewelry art.

Carolina takes friendship bracelets or bracelets made of plastic beads as a basis and remakes them using silk and precious stones. For the Woven collection, she used a special weaving with gold thread, which was used in the production of brocade during the Renaissance.

“I know there are faster and cheaper ways to create jewelry, but I’m not interested in that,” she says. “For me it is more important that my creations are created by Florentine craftsmen who really love what they do.”
