Boucheron has unveıled a new era of ıts ıconıc Serpent Bohème motıf

The Serpent Bohème has been part of Boucheron iconic design repertoire since 1968, with these new pieces being inspired by the impact of an eclipse.

The Maison describes this reimagined collection as ‘a campaign where duality takes center stage,’ and juxtaposes jet black onyx with polished yellow gold to emulate the contrasts in shadow and light that occur during the natural phenomenon.

This latest collection showcases 12 new designs: five of which are dominated by onyx to channel the way darkness dominates the beginning of an eclipse; three pieces highlighting the warmth of sunlight-coloured gold, and four final jewels in which onyx and polished gold coexist.

Described as ‘the shadow side’ of the collection, onyx is featured in a necklace, ring, bracelet, watch and a set of earrings. Representing the shadow of an eclipse, these pieces highlight the intensity of the deep coloured stone. The pieces are priced from £1,670 for the pendant to £16,650 for the wristwatch, all available from Boucheron.

For the polished-gold side of the range there are earrings, a pendant, and a ring. Here, polished gold represents the intense sunlight radiating after an eclipse. When it comes to pricing, the earrings are £3,070, the pendant is £2,490, and the ring is £2,120, making them some of the more affordable pieces in the collection.

Creative Director of Boucheron, Claire Choisne, designed four pieces for the collection where onyx and polished gold stylishly intertwine to mimic the process of an eclipse in motion. These pieces are built for stacking and feature an XXL bracelet and an XXL ring alongside a pendant and a brooch.

The Maison unveiled the “shadow and light” campaign to launch this collection. It features a figure standing before an eclipse allowing the shadow and the light to catch the light of the jewellery to enhance the shine of the gold and the deep colour of the onyx.
