Sahag Arslanıan Launches Parıs Hıgh Jewellery Maıson
Sahag Arslanian has recently launched his eponymous high jewellery maison, which is built around rare stones and bold design. The perfect stage for his artful creations loved by Olivia Palermo. An exclusive “atelier showroom” conceived with clean lines. This is where jewellery takes centre stage. “I actually think of it as a gallery more than a boutique,” says Sahag Arslanian, describing his 34 Avenue Matignon flagship store in the heart of Paris’s art district. “At this level high jewellery is not retail; it’s applied art. The experience is purposefully private and by appointment only. It allows for real conversation, contemplation and time.”
Arslanian is grounded in a seven-decade diamantaire heritage rooted in Antwerp. At the age of 35, building a brand under his own name comes with pressure. “You’re not hiding behind anything – you’re fully exposed. There’s always the fear of not being worthy of what came before. But the power far outweighs the pressure,” the creative admits. Yet Arslanian calls the inheritance invaluable as it gives him “an instinctive understanding of diamonds and access to extraordinary stones long before they reach the market”. “That knowledge is incredibly liberating creatively.” Coloured diamonds are central to the maison’s identity. “When you consider tonal families, intensity, cuts and sizes, the palette becomes almost infinite,” he shares.
Awarded the Best New Talent Prize at the inaugural 2025 Grand Prix de Haute Joaillerie in Monte Carlo, Arslanian considers this first momentum a huge responsibility. “Recognition is not an endpoint. It’s an invitation to go further,” he reveals. The prize-winning Lunar Eclipse necklace is crafted in yellow and white gold and centres a 15.59-carat fancy yellow diamond. Inspired by different phases of the moon, this masterpiece stands conceptually, technically and materially as one of the most accomplished expressions of the brand’s vision.
Another standout is a set of eight interchangeable stones that allows endless variations in light and personalisation. While the house operates within the realm of high jewellery, the new Aura in Motion collection expands its vision towards greater versatility and accessibility without compromising an imaginary of absolute excellence.
