Messıka unveıls a new collectıon and evolutıon of the Maıson’s creatıve language
Inspired by the Modernist movement, it draws on the principles of architecture, where structure prevails over ornament and volume finds its poetry in light. A manifesto of its time, Moderniste is sculpture carved in gold, bold in intent, heralding a new chapter for Messika.
Guided by the radical purity of the Modernist movement, Valérie Messika sculpts gold as an architect defines space. The geometric blueprint is defined by contrast, as hexagonal rings and octagonal bangles strike against the curve of the circle. Through an alignment of opposites, circle and square, strength and softness, Moderniste introduces a multidimensional signature.
This continuum of movement and poise is tempered by an asymmetrically placed pyramid that seals each creation. Though gold takes centre stage, diamonds remain present, revealed either in brilliant pavé or set upon the pyramid itself.
In tandem with creative director and AI storyteller Sybille de Saint Louvent, AI is utilised for the campaign as a precision instrument to articulate a new jewellery code. This voyage follows a woman as she navigates a surreal, spatial terrain guided by a crescent moon.
Her journey culminates at a levitating staircase, a symbolic ascent toward reflection where geometric precision meets the stillness of Ramadan. Amidst this holy month, Moderniste stands as a totem of balance, guided by the precise rhythm of light in motion. Poised between presence and equilibrium, the collection establishes a foundational signature in the Maison’s vision of modernity. Here, gold is treated as a sovereign material, a structural force where the integrity of form takes absolute precedence over ornament.
