Swarovski has transformed Annabel’s into a giant crystal gingerbread house

Conceived by Swarovski creative director Giovanna Engelbert, the display exists somewhere between Hansel and Gretel and GBBO, creating an incredible facade constructed from millions of toffee coloured Swarovski reignited crystals – as part of the brand’s sustainability programme recycling used crystals – while icing is made of hand-sculpted and crystal dusted fiberglass. Swarovski Swans, candy canes, humbug sweets and an oversized Santa Claus figurine complete the ‘good enough to eat’ takeover.

Ready to greet guests, Annabel’s doormen have also had a Christmas revamp, wearing caped couture uniforms custom created by British designer Richard Quinn. “We are so excited to be partnering with long-term collaborator Swarovski on the bespoke costumes of Annabel’s renowned doormen,” says Quinn. “As the world begins to open again, it is a great pleasure to participate on such a joyful and festive project. We have designed ornately embellished capes, hats and shoes, complementing the theme of the crystalized façade of Annabel’s, providing a warm welcome to the guests entering its’ magical world’.”
