Egyptıan actress Hınd Rostom’s jewellery to go under the hammer at Sotheby’s

A selection of jewellery that belonged to the late iconic actress Hind Rostom will be auctioned at Sotheby’s Magnificent & Noble Jewels in Geneva on 10 November.

Eight lots that will showcase the actress’ jewellery will include a diamond and emerald bracelet, a diamond necklace, and a pair of diamond clustre ear clips by David Webb, among other pieces.

Prior to the Geneva auction, the pieces will be exhibited in the heart of Dubai at Sotheby’s gallery in the DIFC, Dubai’s Financial Hub.

Rostom’s jewellery has been offered on sale by her family.

Hailed as the First Lady of Egyptian Cinema, Rostom (1929-2011) was one of the most popular movie stars during the Golden Age of Arab cinema, starring in over 80 films. Forever portraying powerful women, she became a bold symbol of feminism and Arab independence.
